IB Program Statistics

The IB Diploma Program in particular holds a high level of respect and recognition among the world’s higher education institutions.  For students, success in the IB Diploma Program results in great preparation for university in many ways including increased critical thinking skills, time management skills, study habits, research and writing skills, and collaboration skills.  IB Diploma Program graduates also often see an increase in advanced standing, course credit, scholarships, and other admissions related benefits at universities.

Our IB Diploma Program class of 2022 earned passing scores in 89% of their IB subjects.  This level of success has consistently exceeded that of other comparable program pass rates (see chart below).  The CCHS IB Diploma Program class of 2022 had potential to earn over 1,500 college credits.  Passing IB subject score are widely accepted at universities for college credit.  Each institution has their own credit by exam policies. Awarding of college credit is based on individual IB subject scores, it is not dependent on earning the full IB diploma.

In addition to our IB students outperforming all other advanced education programs in our school district, our IB graduates experience much high rates of college admissions.  The IB Diploma Program is international recognized as one of the top college preparatory programs and IB Program graduates are recognized as some of the best candidates for college admissions.

Looking at two of the most sought-after universities in the state of Florida we can see our IB graduates receiving rates of admissions that far exceed others.  These universities know that the IB Diploma graduate has the skills, motivation, and experience to be successful in their programs.  As a result, an IB Diploma graduate is more likely to be accepted to the college and universities they want to attend.
