Literacy Festival

Cape Coral High School’s fourth annual Cape Literacy Festival will take place on Friday, April 17, 2020. Eight authors from around the state of Florida will visit English and Reading classrooms the first half of the school day and then head out to the football field for the outdoor festival portion from 12:30-1:30 p.m. This year, the CCHS Book Club has paired up with SADD Club to combine the literacy festival with a community outreach event. The outdoor festival will include local firefighters, police and K-9 units, the public library, food vendors and more, as well as the talented authors! The featured authors for this year’s event include Cheyanne Young, Trish Doller, Stacie Ramey, Steven Dos Santos, Teshelle Combs, Racquel Henry, Lucienne Diver, and Erica Cameron. Through grants from The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools and Kiwanis Club of Cape Coral, over 600 novels by the visiting authors have been given away to students FOR FREE!
