At Cape Coral High School, a student has the opportunity to become a Board Certified Pharmacy Technician once they have graduated high school. PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technicians (CPhTs) support pharmacists in delivering patient care in a variety of settings, including community pharmacies, hospitals, and other facilities. The PTCB certification program enables technicians to work more effectively with pharmacists to offer safe and effective patient care and service. Becoming a Board Certified Pharmacy Technician is the gold standard of credentialing for all pharmacy technicians. The benefits to becoming board certified include having a respected credential, being recognized for your outstanding achievement and knowledge, the chance of improved employment opportunities and career growth, the potential for earning a higher salary and prestige upon coworkers.. A Cape Coral High School student who completes the Pharmacy Technician program will have earned what most employers prefer, and many require; pharmacy technicians that are PTCB CPhTs.
