Our Core Values

Our core values are based on the IB Learner Profile: student traits and characteristics aimed to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world. (www.ibo.org)

Our program focuses on three core values that encapsulate this IB Learner Profile: Academic Discovery, Personal Innovation, and Meaningful Connections.

Academic Discovery

The IB program sets the goal of preparing students for the complexities of the world around them and equipping students with the skills needed to take responsible action for the future.

We promote critical thinking, encourage students to pose challenging questions, and develop the skills need for higher education.

Personal Innovation

IB programs promote opportunities for self-growth and learning opportunities that are self-selected.

Throughout the IB curriculum students have opportunities to challenge themselves in areas that reflect their own interests. A curriculum that is innovative as opposed to prescriptive.

Meaningful Connections

Our students experience a sense of community that rivals most educational institutions.  

From building connections with fellow students and staff to influencing real change in the local community, our students develop an experience that is meaningful and memorable.
